Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
The Sioux Empire Community Theatre proudly announces the opening of their 16th season with JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 7pm. Performances will take place at the Orpheum Theater at 315 N. Phillips Ave Sioux Falls, SD. Show dates are September 27-30, and October 4-7, 2018. Performances are Thursday – Saturday at 7pm with matinees at 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical comedy. Told entirely through song with the help of a Narrator (Alexis Britson), the story is a reimagining of the Biblical tale of Joseph (Paul Ridgeway) filled with singing, dancing, humor and the lesson of forgiveness.
Directed by Eric E. Parrish, JOSEPH is the first full-length musical by legendary theatrical team Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT combines a wide variety of musical styles, from country to calypso to rock ‘n’ roll, in a series of memorable musical numbers.
Noted for its family-friendly storyline, audiences of all ages will enjoy the universal themes and catchy music as the talented cast of 45 retells of the biblical story of Joseph, his devoted father, his jealous brothers, and his incredible series of adventures.

Season Tickets for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “A Christmas Carol,” “Steel Magnolias,” and “Oliver!” are priced at $100 for Adults, and $50 for Students.
