TARZAN MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE

January 8 - June 22, 2018. 8:30 - 5:30 MON - FRIDAY
A Stage Adventure Production

Description

Based on Disney’s epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burrough’s Tarzan of the Apes, Tarzan features heart-pumping music by rock legend, Phil Collins, and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright, David Henry Hwang. High-flying excitement and hits, like the Academy Award winning “You’ll Be in My Heart,” as well as “Son of Man” and “Two Worlds,” make Tarzan an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Washed up on the shores of West Africa, an infant boy is taken in and raised by gorillas who name him Tarzan. Apart from striving for acceptance from his ape father, Tarzan’s life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe’s territory, and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time. Tarzan struggles to navigate a jungle, thick with emotion, as he discovers his animal upbringing clashing with his human instincts.

A title that is recognizable the world over, Tarzan is a powerhouse of a musical.

The rehearsals are as follows:

Only 13 spots remaining for the two-week portion of Tarzan. Only 5 remain for the one week portion. Don’t wait. You still have one week before we announced to the public where you can get a jump on everybody.

Camp will be for 1-8 grades.  We are limiting the amount in cast to 45. We are doing this so that we can give more one on one attention to each cast member.

T-shirts will be provided.

The two-week portion is for fifth through eighth graders. Fifth grade includes students that will have graduated fourth grade by the time the intensive starts. Eighth graders aren’t any one who is currently in the eighth grade for the 2017 2018 school year.

One week portions are for cast members in the first through fourth grades.
